Chad Herring joined Taiyo, Nakajima & Kato as a U.S. Patent Attorney in 2009. Mr. Herring provides patent prosecution services (utility and design), as well as opinions of counsel involving product clearance and patent invalidity. His practice focuses mainly on electromechanical technologies, such as optical systems, semiconductor materials and fabrication, automotive technologies, electric motors, and computer hardware, software and firmware. While practicing in the U.S., Mr. Herring also handled commercial litigation and transactional matters, including intellectual property enforcement and acquisitions. These skills bring a well-rounded perspective to his practice as a patent attorney.
